Every goal you want to achieve takes daily practice. Whether that means learning to dance by practising dancing or learning to live by practising living, the principle is the same, because life is a business. In every case, the performance of a dedicated service of precise set of activities, mental and physical, drives a sense of achievement. Clarity of purpose and the satisfaction of your inner spirit catalyze your achievement. Thus, you become an athlete of life - a person willing to perform over and over again in the face of obstacles standing against your vision, faith and desire.
But you know you are on the right track. Then hang on to beliefs you can be proud of whatever the outcome of your efforts. One, you should always follow your heart and intuition. Do not get derailed by your problems. Let your dreams lead you. Live the life of your dreams. Be the person you want to be remembered for. Two, be honest with yourself. Be honest about what is right by following the path of rectitude. Change whatever needs to be changed. Be sincere with what you want to achieve and who you want to become.
Either you take accountability for your life or someone else will. And when they do, you will become an instrument of their dreams instead of a pioneer of your own dreams. Three, act as if what you do makes a difference. That by helping others, you fulfill your own destiny. When you make a positive impact in someone's life, you also make an impact on your own. Do something greater than you by helping someone to be happy. Four, we have all been hurt by others in the past, so forgive those who once hurt you. Let go, don't allow the pain continue to linger in your heart.
Grudges are a waste of perfect happiness. It causes you to miss out on the beauty of life as it happens. To forgive is to set a prisoner free and discover the prisoner was you. Finally, follow your heart, never accept any regrets. Laugh as much as you breathe. Love as long as you live. Offer a helping hand when you are able. Appreciate what you are and have. Celebrate your victories, learn from your mistakes. Learn that everything is a lesson in disguise. And let go of the things you cannot control.
"They huddled inside through the storm door- two children in ragged, oversized coats. "Any old papers lady?" I was busy. I wanted to say no- until I saw their feet. Little sandals sopped with sleet. "Come in and take some cocoa." There was no conversation. Their soggy sandals left marks on the floor. I served them cocoa with toast and jam to fortify them against the chill outside. Then, I went back to the kitchen to work on my household budget.
"The silence in the front room struck through me. I looked in. The little girl held the empty cup in her hands and looked at it. the boy asked, "Lady, are you rich?" I looked at my shabby slipcovers. "Am I rich? God have mercy, no!" The girl put the cup in its saucer- carefully. "Your cups match your saucers." Her voice was old with a hunger not of the stomach. They then left, holding their bundles of paper against the wind. They hadn't said thank you. They didn't need to- they'd done more than that.
"Much more. Plain blue pottery cups and saucers, but they matched. Potatoes in brown gravy, a roof over our heads; my man with a good steady job- these things matched, too. I moved the chairs back from the fire and tidied the living room. The muddy prints of small sandals were still wet on the floor. I let them be. I want them there in case I ever forget how rich i am." The lesson for today is: Never forget to thank Jehovah God whatever your station in life.
