Getting others to financially invest in you and your goals is the premise upon which How to win friends and influence people is written. That book is one of the top selling self-help books of all time. And indeed, you can have everything you want in life, if you will just help other people get what they want. This is because all you have helped and more will gather to help you attain your desires. Executing this idea is simple but not easy, only that it isn't commonly practised. You can develop bunches of knowledge and skills on your own. But if you want to turn your ideas into universe bending realities, you need to get people interested in your goals. But not just financial investment but emotional investment also. And not just getting anybody but highly influential people at that. You must attract people who are far more successful and experienced than you. You get people emotionally invested in you when your goals become their goals. You get people invested in your goals by first becoming in theirs. When you are advancing, you are also advancing in life along with them. In order to do this, you need to: Become extremely good at what you do. become emotionally invested in the cause you are about. You must also understand the context of your goal better than anyone else. You must develop a unique view of the world and how it could be created. You must invest in the right relationships, people who you could create synergy with such as your mastermind group.
Remove attention from your goals temporarily while you develop the best experience and education available growing someone else's ambition. Merge your goals with other people's goals. Ask for help. Don't get derailed as you succeed step by step; by focusing on only a few relationships. In your journey upwards, learn to get the right people, those who can move the needle in big ways, to themselves invest into your goals and dreams. In your march towards greatness, develop rare and valuable skills for your survival. Become a craftman rather than a salesman for the producer can survive without the salesman, he can sell directly.
What does not kill you makes you stronger. Thus, experiences good or bad, make us what we are. By overcoming difficulties, we gain maturity and courage. Develop expertise in something useful and essential to the achievement of your ambition. Follow whatever gets you emotionally charged. Because emotion not only sells, emotion transforms people. Emotion is the catalyst of your ambition. You cannot focus just only on one idea. Your focus has to be the intersection of several things that become your ambition. In order to retain the power that glues together the pieces of ideas that forms your ambition, you must develop curiosity; sustain your curiosity by becoming studious.
Become an expert in your field in order that your emotion and story can make sense. Learn the rules so that you can strategically break them whenever necessary. If politics is your vocation; you have the history your country in order to excel. People without the knowledge of the history and culture of their origin, are like a tree without roots. They can neither thrive nor prosper. You must know the history of how things got to where they are. Find the limitations restraining the people and the leaders and the norms that must be shattered.
