The Rosicrucian Order, at its 2018 Lagos Zone Conclave on Saturday, blamed President Muhammadu Buhari for the current spate of ethnic killings going on in the country. The killings were attributed to the nepotistic appointments of incompetent and negligent security officials by the president. Member after member said this while contributing to the Conclave's theme: The Soul's Immortality and Universal Love. In his address as the Guest of Honor and Grand Administrator of the Order, Chief Kenneth Idiodi said, at this time when the world is rife with violence, terrorism, ethnic cleansing the era is appropriate for reflections on the soul's immortality and universal love.
"If it is true that we were created in the image and likeness of God, then it is a foregone conclusion that the universal love of God in which we live......guarantees our immortality and the truth that we live forever." a true appreciation of immortality will neutralize the fear of death. Many people want to go to heaven in the hereafter but ironically are scared of death which is the door to it. however, the fear of death and ageing have fueled investments into scientific research for prolonging human life indefinitely on earth, Idiodi said

In his explanation of what the Rosicrucians order stands for, Chief Idiodi said this Ancient and Mystical Order Rosae Crucis( AMORC) is a philosophical, cultural and humanitarian organisation dedicated to the investigation of natural and spiritual laws and their application for the attainment of human health, happiness and peace. Through the Rosicrucian teachings, men and women are enabled to live decent and knowledge driven lives free from the shackles of superstition and ignorance.

in his welcome address, the chairman of the conclave planning committee Babatunde Adeniyi urged attendees to be attentive to the programme's brief story of transformation, in the ensuing symposium, Professor Isaac Alaba regaled the audience with his african perpective of the soul's immortality and universal love. the unbeliever's perspective was given by Douglas Anele, professor of philosophy, University of Lagos. Anele submitted that immortality, heaven and hell are myths that cannot be proven in reality. the AMORC perspective was delivered by Gabril Idahosa . the symposium was moderated to the satisfaction of everyone by Mrs Olabimpe Giwa while the vote of thanks was given by the hosting AMORC grand councillor, Lagos AMORC, Babatope Ogunowo.
